New Balance is back on the scene for the autumn season with the new 997 Sport, characterized by a silhouette that is completely new, that takes its inspiration from the classic 997, but it lowers the profile to make it more streamlined and eye-catching.

The past and the future

Launched in 1991, the 997 original boasted innovative technology and a new aesthetic compared to the previous models in the range: the 997 had theunusual midsole which is the result of the fusion of two technologies, C-Cap and ENCAP, in a single sneaker.

The new 997 Sport offers a mix of technologies both new and proven, derived from the interpretation of the contemporary New Balance Suspension System, used since the years ' 90. The outsole takes advantage of technology Encap Reveal that, combined with Abzorb, to create a support incredibly stable, yet cushioned.

A distinctive trait of the 997 Sport is the buttress of the heel, a more modern version of c.d. the fins of cars in the us during the 50s and 60s. The upper pays homage to the 997, the Original, but with refined details and finishes magazines, but on the whole remains faithful to the tradition, with a sleek profile, but at the same time, a new tubular construction and tight, thanks to the insert in TPU.

The new 997 Sport is available in the unisex version in the shops, New Balance, and in some selected retailers at the price of 110 euros, and three models dedicated to men and three to women, which contribute to enrich the proposal by New Balance.
